Ackermans stores is offering an exciting opportunity to join our esteemed retail organization as a Senior Shift Manager at our Cape Town Distribution Centre, conveniently located near the airport. We are searching for a dynamic individual with 3-5 years of experience in warehouse and distribution center management. In this role, you will oversee critical operations encompassing inbound, inventory, and outbound logistics.
Applicants should possess a relevant diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, along with proficiency in systems such as Advanced Excel, WMS, High Jump, Bomm, and camera systems. Retail or warehouse experience and prior staff management are highly valued.
Key responsibilities include ensuring efficient picking and administrative operations, managing inventory, overseeing stock receiving and replenishment, handling reverse logistics, and maintaining control over Chep pallets. During night shifts, you will assume full responsibility for operations. Additionally, responsibilities extend to staff management, updating SOPs, conducting training, upskilling management, succession planning, and fostering effective business partnerships internally and externally.
