This structured learning experience combines theoretical instruction with practical on-the-job training, preparing successful candidates for a career in the mining and metals sector.

Programme Overview
Our learnership programme aims to equip learners with the necessary knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience to build a career in mining and related disciplines. Learners will be exposed to various technical and operational areas across our mining operations.
Learnership Fields Available:
- Mining Operations
- Fitting
- Diesel mechanic
- Plating
- Rigger
- Instrumentation
- Engineering (Mechanical and Electrical)
- Metallurgy
- Mineral Processing
- Environmental Management
- Occupational Health and Safety
Duration: 12 – 24 months (depending on the field)
Stipend: A monthly stipend will be provided in line with company policy and learnership level.
Minimum Requirements:
- South African Citizen
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science (minimum 40% pass)
- Relevant N2/N3 Certificate (for engineering-related fields)
- Must be medically fit for underground and surface work (medical assessment required)
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Unemployed and not participating in another learnership or internship
- Residing in communities surrounding Sibanye-Stillwater operations will be an advantage
