Sibanye-Stillwater is offering a unique opportunity for young, dynamic, and enthusiastic individuals to join our Learnership Programme 2025. This structured learning experience combines theoretical instruction with practical on-the-job training, preparing successful candidates for a career in the mining and metals sector.

Programme Overview

Our learnership programme aims to equip learners with the necessary knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience to build a career in mining and related disciplines. Learners will be exposed to various technical and operational areas across our mining operations.

Learnership Fields Available:

  • Mining Operations
  • Fitting
  • Diesel mechanic
  • Plating
  • Rigger
  • Instrumentation
  • Engineering (Mechanical and Electrical)
  • Metallurgy
  • Mineral Processing
  • Environmental Management
  • Occupational Health and Safety

Duration: 12 – 24 months (depending on the field)
Stipend: A monthly stipend will be provided in line with company policy and learnership level.

Minimum Requirements:

  • South African Citizen
  • Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science (minimum 40% pass)
  • Relevant N2/N3 Certificate (for engineering-related fields)
  • Must be medically fit for underground and surface work (medical assessment required)
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Unemployed and not participating in another learnership or internship
  • Residing in communities surrounding Sibanye-Stillwater operations will be an advantage
