Job Description:
As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for every customer who walks through our doors. You will assist customers on the shop floor, manage stock levels, maintain store hygiene, and support the overall day-to-day operations of the branch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional customer service at all times
- Assist customers with product selections and queries
- Keep shelves stocked, tidy, and properly merchandised
- Manage incoming stock and ensure proper pricing and labeling
- Monitor expiry dates and ensure product rotation
- Handle point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately and efficiently
- Adhere to all store policies, security procedures, and health regulations
- Work collaboratively with team members and managers to achieve store goals
Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Previous retail or pharmacy experience (advantageous)
- Friendly and approachable personality with strong communication skills
- Reliable, honest, and able to work flexible retail hours (weekends, public holidays)
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
