1. Learner Technician / Trainee Medical Technician
This opportunity is ideal for candidates who have completed or are completing a relevant qualification in Biomedical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science. Successful candidates will receive structured training while gaining practical experience in specimen processing, laboratory testing procedures, and quality control systems under supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma or studying towards relevant laboratory qualification
- Registration (or eligible for registration) with HPCSA
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to work shifts
2. Laboratory Assistant
Laboratory Assistants play a key support role in specimen sorting, preparation, data capturing, and maintaining laboratory cleanliness and safety standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Life Sciences
- Basic computer literacy
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure
3. Phlebotomy Technician / Trainee Phlebotomist
This entry-level healthcare position involves collecting blood and other specimens from patients in a professional and compassionate manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant Phlebotomy qualification
- HPCSA registration (or proof of application)
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer service orientation
4. Courier / Driver (Medical Specimens)
Couriers are responsible for the safe and timely transportation of specimens, reports, and medical supplies between branches, hospitals, and doctors’ rooms.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Valid driver’s license (Code B)
- Clean driving record
- Good knowledge of local routes
5. Admin Clerk / Data Capturer
This role supports laboratory operations through accurate capturing of patient information, filing, report distribution, and telephonic support.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Computer proficiency (MS Office)
- High level of accuracy
- Strong interpersonal skills
6. Call Centre Agent / Client Service Consultant
Entry-level candidates with strong communication skills are invited to apply for customer-focused roles assisting patients and healthcare providers with queries, bookings, and results.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service experience advantageous
7. Cleaner / General Worker
This important support role ensures laboratory and office environments remain hygienic, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 10 or higher
- Ability to follow cleaning protocols
- Reliability and punctuality
