Job Overview

We are looking for a qualified Assistant Regional Controller to manage all branches in the region. The ideal candidate will ensure a profitable and sustainable region that contributes to the organization’s overall success.


The Assistant Regional Controller will oversee and take ownership of all branches within the region. This role requires strong leadership to manage, motivate, develop, and empower the region’s employees, ensuring a stable team capable of achieving business goals. You will be responsible for driving sales targets and managing operational efficiencies to maintain a profitable business, ensuring that daily operations align with company goals.

Customer service is a key aspect of this role, as you will play an active part in customer interactions to maintain healthy customer relationships. Financial management is also crucial, as you will need to control financial targets within accepted norms and balance them against business risks. Additionally, you will work to maintain and enhance customer service, sales performance, and stock efficiencies while managing business risks related to credit.

Minimizing stock loss through compliance with security measures and proper stock and cash handling procedures is essential. You will also ensure that administrative duties within the region adhere to company guidelines and that operations comply with relevant regulatory legislation. Effective people management, including training, mentoring, coaching, and managing staff within the region, is a vital component of this role.


To be considered for this position, you must have a valid driver’s license and a Matric/Grade 12 qualification. A business-related tertiary qualification is an advantage. You should have a minimum of 5 years of retail management experience, preferably in the furniture retail sector.

The role requires you to be computer literate with strong leadership and management abilities to lead, motivate, develop, and empower staff. You must be able to travel for work. We are looking for a tough-minded individual who is target-driven, thrives on driving performance, and can juggle customer service with working in a high-pressure sales environment.
